Eden International School offers the Cambridge Curriculum program from Year 1 right through to Year 12 along with a foundation stage of the British curriculum and a Montessori approach for the Pre School. In year 6, students take the externally marked Cambridge Primary Checkpoint examinations in English, Science & Mathematics. In Year 11 students are expected to sit the Cambridge IGCSE examinations and in Year 12, they will be required to sit the Cambridge International A-level examinations. The language instruction throughout the school is English.
At EIS school day begins at 7.40am and ends at 2.30pm for Infant school students, 3:00pm for both Primary and Secondary students. Except on Thursdays, school closes at 3:45pm for Nursery to Secondary because of extracurricular activities.
At EIS all three campuses observe two breaks. We have Snack break and Lunch break. The time for these breaks varies per term.
EIS have two ways with the provision of lunch. At Infant school, meals are provided by the school’s kitchen. For Primary and Secondary students, a pre-paid cooked meal service is available through Capitol Catering Services. Cards are provided for students that can be loaded with cash to pay for their meals. Students also have the option to bring packed lunch from home.
At Eden, class sizes are limited to a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 students per class. Each year or class level is divided into two classes. Each class has a dedicated, qualified teacher and a full-time teaching assistant to ensure individualised attention and support for students.
Eden International School has an extra-curricular programme which means that non-academic activities are acknowledged as being just as important as classroom learning. There are diverse range of clubs available for students in Nursery to Year 6. Clubs include Drama and Poetry, Science club, Music club, Taekwondo, Ballet, African Dance, Afro Pop, Chess club, Abacus, Creativity club and Sports club. In the Secondary School there is Math, Interact and Sports club.
Every child from Cherry 2(age 2 to 3) to Upper Secondary is required to wear uniform. Boys in Cherry 2 to Year 6 wear a white, short sleeve shirts and a black or navy-blue shorts. Girls are required to wear a blue or navy-blue pinafore and white shirt. In the Secondary School, boys in Year 7 to 9 are required to wear a white short sleeves shirt and black trousers, and girls wear a white short sleeves shirt and a grey skirt. Year 10 to 12 boys wear a sky-blue short sleeve shirt with black trousers and the girls wear a sky-blue short sleeve with a grey skirt. On Fridays, the boys wear a blue polo shirt and their shorts/trousers whiles the girls wear the polo shirt and a skirt. Students also wear P.E kits when it is time for Physical Education.
